Ernie Ellis, founder and CEO of US-based fire suppression specialist Sea-Fire, launched a new company at METS last week.

GlobalTec is a global distributor of technical products across five product lines: Passerelles, Pumps, Generators, Lights and Adhesives & Sealants. Other ranges of equipment are also said to be in the pipeline.
“In recent years it has become clear that a gap has developed for a company to supply a whole range of innovative technical products under one brand through an established and trusted network,” says Ellis.
“In the current climate nobody wants to invest in new infrastructure so our model uses our renowned existing global sales and service network, removing the need for additional capital outlay.”

The Sea-Fire network of suppliers and technicians is already globally established in major boatbuilding hubs, giving architects, designers and builders immediate access to GlobalTec branded products.
“Traditionally, high-value marine equipment is procured separately from different manufacturers all over the world,” adds technical director Richard Duckworth. “This removes choice, while adding cost and time to any build schedule. But, if you could source all the best equipment from one place, we believe that would be a huge bonus for the builders.”
Products within the GlobalTec portfolio include NauTec passerelles, bathing ladders and swim platforms, FlowTec pumps, GenTec marine generators, LighTec LEDs and FixTech adhesives and sealants.
